Ramban, March 14 : 40 days after a man drowned in Chenab following an accident, his body was recovered along the banks of the river in Ramban district of Jammu on Saturday.

Reports reaching GNS said that the body was recovered by police after being informed by locals who had spotted it along the banks of the river at Dharamkund area.

“The body was taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities,” they said. SSP Ramban Haseeb-Ul-Rehman confirmed the recovery of body and identified the deceased as Mudasir Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, a resident of Pingloka village.

On February 3, a tractor skidded off the road resulting into the drowning of Bhat. (GNS)
