Kupwara, Mar 18, : Mysterious fire damaged a large chunk of Social Forest area in Awoora village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Official sources told KNT that Social Forest area in Awaoora caught fire on Tuesday late night that damaged flora and fauna. Fire tenders rushed to spot while civilians and employees of the department also helped in dousing the fire.
The fire was brought under control after hard efforts. A Forest official said that forest fire is a common phenomenon. He said that fire was brought under control due to quick response from employees and civilians of the area. (KNT)
