SRINAGAR: Secretary  Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Abdul Majeed Bhat today placed nine officers of Directorate of Urdu Coordination cell under suspension for remaining absent from their duties.

In a statement issued, today, a Law Department spokesperson said the Secretary, on the directions of the Law Minister, Mr Abdul Haq, conducted surprise inspection of the Directorate of Urdu Coordination cell and found nine officials absent from the duty. They were immediately placed under suspension.

The department has also sought explanation from Director of the Coordination cell and has also ordered inquiry in the matter to be conducted by Special Secretary Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rashid Fayaz.
