rinagar, April 4,: Designated Covid-19 Hospital here in JVC SKIMS Bemina Srinagar has got its first patient who has been tested positive for Covid-19, officials said.

  Hospital sources told Kashmir News Trust that a Covid-19 suspect from North Kashmir’s Sopore town was admitted in the hospital on Thursday and today his test was found positive.

   This patient has a travel history and he was recently returned from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah.

   One of the doctors said that there are 3 stages for a Covid-19 patient, quarantine, High Dependency Unit and Intensive Care Unit. “Critical patients are being admitted in ICU while this patient has been kept at High Dependency Unit of the hospital,” he said.

  Meanwhile, 5 more positive cases were reported from Jammu and Kashmir today. This takes the total number to 75. Out of new cases, 4 are from Kashmir and one from Jammu. (KNT)
