Srinagar, April 4, : Coronavirus scare is turning out to be blessing in disguise for the burglars who strike at will these days not even sparing the health centres, shrines and the homes of Covid-19 patients.

Well placed sources told Kashmir News Trust that burglars barged into the Health Sub-Centre at Saloora area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and stole a Sugar Testing Machine, Sanitizers and face masks. The health sub-centre is now known as ‘Wellness Centre’.

Locals said that no staff was present in the Centre when the burglars broke into it.

Pertinently, the house of one Covid-19 patient at Sadarkoot Bala of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district was looted by burglars a few days back.
In South Kashmir’s Tral town, a cash filled chest was stolen by burglars at a Shrine.

Reports said that goods worth Rs one lakh were looted by burglars in Chewa Bandipora from a provisional shop belonged to one Javaid Ahmed Malik. Police in this regard have registered a case and set investigation into motion. (KNT)
