Budgam, Apr 30, : After Handwara, it is now Beerwah village where leopards are creating havoc. Yesternight, a leopard had barged into a house in Handwara village; before it was captured the wild cat injured six persons.

Today, a herd of leopards were seen in Mulshulla village of Beerwah Budgam. People ran away after seeing 3 to 4 leopards in the village roaming here and there.

โ€œWe made many calls to Wild Life Department but there was no response from them. We are worried about people especially children,โ€ Irshad Ahmed, a local told KNT.

He said there are 4 leopards still present in the village while people are scared and donโ€™t come out.

When contacted, an official from Wild Life Department said that a tram will be dispatched in the village that will capture this group of leopards. (KNT)
