SRINAGAR: Maisuma residents have expressed serious concern over the highhandedness of the SHO, PS Maisuma, Mohammad Iqbal Shah, who according to them has started a witch-hunt against the local youths, including a number of juveniles.

The residents have alleged that the SHO raids the locality regularly and chases the youth for no reason and rhyme.

“He is making our life difficult,” said a local. “Maisuma remained peaceful in 2016, but this SHO is doing everything to bring this area to boil again by harassing the youth.”

The residents of Maisuma have appealed the DG and the CM to intervene and transfer this SHO, so that peace is maintained in the area.

“He doesn’t spare even the kids and catches and harasses them on flimsy grounds,” said another local.

The people have said that if the SHO continues with these tactics, situation in Maisuma can turn uncontrollably ugly. (KMW)
