SRINAGAR: A major tragedy was averted today averted when security forces detected and defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) on Baramulla highway in north Kashmir.
Official sources said hey said soldiers of 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) detected a powerful IED planted by militants to target security forces at Parihaspora on Baramulla highway. However, the entire area was sealed and the IED was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squared without causing any damage. (UNI)
