Srinagar, April 14 : Police has arrested one person and recovered 45 bottles of illegal liquor from his possession in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.

Station House Officer (SHO) Anantnag Mir Masarat told GNS that the person, Mukhtar Ahmed Shah of Lok Bawan Larkipora, at present Chee, was apprehended near post office Anantnag with 5 bottles of liquor.

“During investigation his rented house was raided at Chee (Anantnag) and 40 more bottles of liquor were recovered in presence of magistrate,” he said.

The police officer said that a case (FIR No. 90/21) under relevant sections has been registered and investigation taken up. (GNS)
