Srinagar, Apr 21: Stray dog attacked and injured at least six persons in Malangam Village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a stray dog appeared in Malangam village of Bandipora and attacked half a dozen people in a single day, adding that the canines have spread a reign of terror in the village.

However, the injured were shifted to district hospital Bandipora and were given anti-rabies vaccine (ARV), they said.

Medical Superintendent DH Bandipora, Dr Bashir told news Agency KDC, “that free anti-rabies injections were given to six injured persons initially and will be assisted in future courses as well”.

Locals of the area said that they have stopped sending their children out of their homes as they fear stray dogs are roaming in the village and attack whosoever comes in their way. They have appealed to authorities to act against the increasing population of the canines. (KDC)
