Srinagar: Former chief minister and Opposition National Conference (NC) working President Omar Abdullah Sunday criticized Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti by saying: “Your friends and allies have chosen a man who called for the dead bodies of Muslim women to be raped as CM.”

In an apparent referral to the Muslims of UP, the former Chief Minister said 18 per cent (or there about) of the population of India’s most populous state must be terrified of what the future has in store for them.

In a series of tweets, Abdullah expressed disappointment and anguish over appointment of Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister of the most populous state, Uttar Pradesh (UP).

“Congratulations @MehboobaMufti. Your friends & allies have chosen a man who called for the dead bodies of Muslim women to be raped as CM,” Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
