Srinagar: On the eve of ‘Pakistan Day’, Chairman APHC Syed Ali Geelani and other resistance leaders were invited by Pakistan to attend function at its High Commission in Delhi, however state authorities didn’t allow leaders to attend said event, Hurriyat said in a statement.

Hurriyat spokesman while terming these arbitrary measures as frustration of authorities said that it is a routine exercise to attend these function, however baring leadership is extremely strange and uncalled.

In a Statement Hurriyat said that Syed Ali Geelani continues to be under house arrest and besides Shabir Ahmad Shah, Mohamad Ashraf Sehrai, Ayaz Akbar, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Raja Meraj u Din, Mohammad Ashraf Laya and Omer Adil Dar were placed under house arrest or lodged in police stations. It adds that Huriyat leader Nayem Ahmad Khan was arrested at New Airport.
