Legislator Er Rasheed holds anti-Modi protest in Srinagar

Srinagar: Independent legislator and Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) chairman Er Rasheed on Sunday held an anti-Modi protest in Srinagar.

Addressing the media at the sit-in protest, Rasheed said that Kashmiris don’t need any package from PM Modi. “We just need our right to self-determination as per UN resolution (on Kashmir),” demanded Rasheed.

He blamed Modi for killing of Muslims in Gujarat and “establishing a Hindu Rashtra”.

His supporters were holding placards like “We are already living in a dark tunnel”, “resolve Kashmir issue”, “Don’t mislead world community” and “Down with Mr Modi”.

Modi is visiting Jammu region of the state to inaugurate 9-km Chenani-Nashri tunnel today afternoon.
