Pulwama : Commuters faced a tough time on Tuesday due to massive traffic jams at bus stand area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

As per the reports , Traffic came to a grinding halt at Bus stand area of downtown in Tral sub division , causing inconvenience to commuters.

“It took me around 20 minutes to cross the Bus stand area from sumo-stand due to traffic jam. This shows the failure of authorities to regulate the traffic” said Anzar Shah , a commuter.

Commuters from different areas of Tral have expressed resentment against authorities as they were stuck in rain for hours there.

“The concerned authorities are acting as mute spectators to traffic jams. They only formulate traffic plans. Ironically, these are never implemented on the ground,” a group of aggrieved commuters stranded near Bus stand told while talking to Kashmir Age.

“It is high time that the concerned authorities wake up from slumber and restore traffic system in the town ,” said another commuter from far-off village of Tral.

The people have requested the authorities to look into the matter as early as possible.
