Ganderbal: To promote unity and mutual understanding among journalists representing organizations in Ganderbal district, an extraordinary meeting of Ganderbal Working Journalists Association (GWJA) was held at Kangan in which number of working journalists of the district participated.
Ganderbal Journalist under the banner of Central Kashmir Journalist Association-an amalgam of journalists association of central Kashmir district held its annual elections in which Sheikh Matloob for Ganderbal district was elected as President of GWJA. Riyaz Bhat of Tameel -Irshad as vice-president. Firdois Ahmad as General Secretary and Idress Ahmad was elected as Treasurer of GWJA.
GWJA will fight and work for resolving problems and issues of the journalists working in the district. It was decided in fresh election and will highlight the social problems in district. making close relation ship between Government, District police and people will be key role of GWJA.
