Malik’s Judicial remand extended by 5 days

Srinagar: Incarcerated chairman of JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik has been yet again remanded for five more days by 1st additional sessions judge Srinagar.

JKLF Chairman was arrested by police on 18th March 2016 and sent to central jail on a 12 day judicial remand. On 29th March he was again presented before 2nd additional session’s judge who again remanded him to judicial custody until 11th April 2017.

On Tuesday JKLF chief was presented before 1st additional sessions judge who remanded him for five more days and ordered him to be sent to Srinagar central jail again.A JKLF spokesman said chairman Malik has been implicated in a case under an “unlawful activity act dated 17/2016 and it is ironic that courts instead of stopping these false and fabricated tactics of police was complying with them and prolonging the incarceration of party chairman”.JKLF has strongly condemned this police highhandedness and termed their tactics of playing with law as undermining justice, judiciary and basic human rights.
