JAMMU, APRIL 12: Acting swiftly upon specific information regarding illicit trafficking of habit forming drugs, the enforcement staff of Drug & Food Control Organization seized various drugs worth Rs. 97,650 at Lakhanpur Toll Post in co-ordination with Excise Department.
The department is in the process of completion of procedure warranted under Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 and action shall be initiated against the defaulters in due course of time.
The Department has sought cooperation from people of the state to help the organization in tightening the noose over such unscrupulous elements involved in the menace.
