Srinagar: Two young boys drowned to death in Alpathri village of Baba Renshi in Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as eight-year-old student Firdous Ahmad Reshi and 10-year-old Abdul Rouf Shiekh.

Locals said that the boys slipped into Nallah Tilkaen while chasing a cricket ball in Alpathri village, three kilometers from Baba Reshi.

The boys were taken to Kreeri hospital where doctors declared them dead on arrival, they said.
