Ganderbal: Kulgam youth injured earlier in Baroosa area on poll day succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS taking the overall death toll to 9.

The deceased was identifies as Muzaffar Ahmad Mir (22) of Zanglipora in Kulgam, worked as a labour in Baroosa, sustained serious injuries on the day of Srinagar-Budgam by-polls when as per the reports Indian forces opened fire on assembled youth at Baroosa bypass on 9th of this month. Same day on 9 April eight people were killed in pro-freedom clashes in Kashmir, where Mir of Kulgam sustained injures in Baroosa was brought to SKIMS in Soura battling for life dies on Wednesday, while on same poll day another youth of Ganderbal died in Baroosa identified as Umer Farooq Ganie residence of Baroosa in this central district.

As per the initial reports the spontaneous shutdown was observed in Baroosa in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday after the news of death of a Kulgam youth spread in the area.

Reports said that the shopkeepers downed their shutters after the news of Mir’s death spread in the Baroosa market, after which the traffic disappeared on the Baroosa bypass. The overall situation in district was normal as per reports.
