Tral : Zaji-Khowar , a remote village of Tral area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district has been reeling under complete darkness from past 4 months, while according to locals authorities are showing no interest in getting neither the damaged transformer repaired nor new one to replace.

The residents told Kashmir Age that the prevailing darkness due to lack of transformer in the Village has added to the miseries of villagers particularly to the school going students.

“4 months have passed since then, there is not any effort by the concerned officials to get the transformer repaired,” a local resident complained.

According to the locals,  That time authorities assured them to replace it (25-KV) with “63-KV” new transformer, but nothing has been done so far.

The people requested the PDD officials , not to take them for a ride and said even after bringing the matter into the notice of higher officials , they didn’t do anything. The have requested Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter.
