Students’ stages protest in Bomai, clashes with forces

SOPORE: Scores of students of Government Higher Secondary School staged a protest in Bomai village of Baramulla district against police crackdown on a college in Pulwama on April 15 and arrests of students during the subsequent protests.

Reports said that the students were shouting pro-freedom slogans while marching towards Police post in Bomai. Police used tear gas to disperse the protesting students who were throwing stones on security forces, triggering massive clashes.
