Srinagar: Rohit Kansal was appointed as the new principal secretary to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday .*
The 1995 IAS officer who is also Secretary to the Government , Public Works ( R &B ) Department has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary.
This was stated by government on Sunday in GAD order ( 562 ) .
“In the interest of administration , Mr . Rohit Kansal , IAS ( JK : 1995 ) , Commissioner / Secretary to the Government , Public Works ( R &B ) Department shall hold the charge of the post of Principal Secretary to Hon ’ ble Chief Minister , in addition to his own duties , till further orders , ” the order reads.
The order further mentions that, “ he will also hold the charge of the posts of Administrative Secretary Hospitality & Protocol , Civil Aviation and Estates Departments . ”
