SRINAGAR: In order to ensure smooth functioning and regular attendance in government offices Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat along with Tehsildar today checked the attendance of government offices in Kulgam town.

During the surprise visit the DDC found forty (40) government employees unauthorisely absent from their duties. The absentees were immediately put under suspension with immediate effect by Deputy Commissioner for their negligence.

It is pertinent to mention that out of 40 suspended employees 28 belong to District Hospital Kulgam including 9 Doctors and 19 paramedicos besides the Block Development Officer Kulgam.

The Suspended employees include the departments of BDO office, Tehsil office, BMO office, DLCC & District Hospital Kulgam.
