SRINAGAR: A meeting of Hurriyat conference convened to discuss the ‘sting operation’ conducted by a Delhi-based TV channel was disallowed by the authorities.

Hurriyat said that forces in large numbers cordoned off the residence of Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Hyderpora where the meeting was to take place.

The meeting was to discuss the revelation made by Provincial President Nayeem Khan in a ‘sting operation’ conducted by the news channel.

Meanwhile, a National Investigation Team (NIA) has reached Srinagar to investigate the confession of receiving funds from Pakistan by Khan as claimed by the news channel.
