SRINAGAR: In view of “Hafta-e-Shahadat” being observed by the Hurriyat conference, authorities on Saturday imposed strict restrictions in parts of Srinagar city as a precautionary measures to thwart any attempt of protest by the separatists.

The restriction affects normal routine in Srinagar besides led to massive traffic jams in other parts of the city particularly Hazratbal-Rainawari-Khanyar belt.

Reports said that the restrictions also affects attendance in government offices, educational institutes.

With huge deployment of security forces, the restrictions were imposed in areas falling under three police stations including Nowhatta, M R Gunj and Safa Kadal.
