NEW DELHI:(UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted all member states of BIMSTEC describing the organisation as ‘a natural platform for regional cooperation’.
In a tweet on the micro blogging site twitter, the PM noted that ‘today is a special day — we mark the 20th anniversary of BIMSTEC.
My greetings to all BIMSTEC nations.
” He said BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation comprising Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand) was a natural platform for regional cooperation.
The regional grouping’s commitment to ‘peace and development connects the BIMSTEC family,’ the PM added.
