URI: Police Station Uri received written complaint from one Vinod Kumar S/O Chaman Lal R/O Lagama Uri a teacher by profession, that on 03/06/2017 during day time some unknown persons barged into his house and have stolen golden ornaments. Accordingly on the said complaint case FIR No. 28/ 2017 u/s 454, 380 RPC was registered in Police Station Uri and investigation was set in motion.
During investigation Police Station Uri rounded up number of suspected persons of the area for questioning and after strenuous efforts, Police Station Uri got some clue about involvement of one Ajeet Kumar S/O Somnath R/O Lagama Uri in the theft.
On this the subject was arrested and during questioning, the accused confessed about his involvement and on his disclosure recovery of golden ornaments (in full) worth Rupees Five Lakhs was made from his home and other people who had received the stolen property.
