Panipat: The death toll in the roof collapse of a Gurudwara here has risen to five, after the rescuers pulled out four more bodies from the rubble today.

NDRF rescuers pulled out the bodies of Badshah, Ratiram, Darshan Singh and Priest Devinder Singh from Sri Guru Singh Sabha Pehli Patshahi Gurudwara.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal, after meeting the victimsโ€™ kin and members of the Gurudwara Management Committee (GMC) yesterday, ordered an inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident and said strict action would be taken against those found guilty for negligence.
He also announced Rs five-lakh relief for the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 2-lakh for the seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh for those with minor injuries.
‘Meanwhile, a five-member team headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Mehta has been constituted to investigate the matter.ย  (UNI)
