SRINAGAR: ย A woman was critically wounded when gunmen barged into her house and opened fire in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said here this morning.
They said the militants last night entered the house of Mohammad Sharief Bhat at village Katrasoo and shot at and wounded his daughter Souriya. The injured was immediately shifted to hospital in a critical condition.
Souriyaโ€™s husband Ashiq Ahmad Reshi and another civilian died allegedly in security forces firing in February this year in village Frisal in Kulgam district when four Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants were killed in an encounter who were holed up in the house of Reshi. However, three other militants had managed to escape from the house. Two Army personnel were also killed and as many were injured in the encounter. A civilian was also killed.ย (UNI)
