SRINAGAR: Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) minister Haq Khan on Saturday said that he would resign if it is proved that he was associated with militancy in the past.

Haq was responding to senior National Conference leader Muhammad Akbar Lone during the special session of Jammu and Kashmir assembly on Saturday who accused him of being associated with Al Barq militant outfit.

“I will resign if it is proved that I had links with militancy in the past,” said Khan.

Usman Majeed of Congress party charged Khan of lying to the house. “I was a militant. He (Haq Khan) was a militant too,” said Majeed.
