SRINAGAR:  Srinagar police solved a theft case and recovered stolen cash of Rupees 3,72,000 and 400 Euros from the culprit.

A Tourist namely Christain Cornelis Jacopus resident of Netherlands reported in Police Station Nishat with a complaint regarding the theft of money from his guest house in Ishbar.

A case was registered in Police Station and investigation was set into motion. A SIT under the supervision of SDPO Nehru Park Shri Owais Rashid and headed by SHO P/S Nishat Aashiq Hussain was formed.

During the course of investigation, it was revealed that One lady (name with held), who was working as house maid has stolen the cash from the tourist. On his disclosure cash of rupees 3, 72,000 and 400 Euros was recovered,

A case FIR number 26/17 under section 381 was registered against her and investigation was taken up.
