SRINAGAR: An Amarnath pilgrim died after being hit by a shooting stone on way to holy cave at Baltal base camp in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir on Thursday.
later, he was evacuated to the Base Camp hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The annual Amarnath Yatra commenced today with over 6000 pilgrims having so far left base camp Baltal to pay obeisance at the holy cave in the Himalayas.
