NEW DELHI: Expressing concern over continued incidents of lynching despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi issuing a warning to ‘gau rakshaks’ (cow vigilantes) and lynch mobs, senior Congress leader and former Home Minister P Chidambaram today said Mr Modi should tell the country how he will enforce his writ.
Reacting to the incident of Mohd Alimuddun being lynched by a mob in Jharkhand on a day when the PM warned gau rakshaks, Mr Chidambaram said, ‘Obviously, lynch mobs don’t fear PM’.
‘On a day when PM warned gau rakshaks, Mohd Alimuddun was lynched by a mob in Jharkhand.
Obviously, lynch mobs don’t fear PM ,’ Mr Chidambaram said in a tweet.
‘PM warned gau rakshaks and lynch mobs.   (UNI)
