Cellular, mobile internet services suspended in Anantnag

SRINAGAR: Cellular and mobile internet services of all companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), in south Kashmir district of Anantnag were today suspended for security reasons.
The services were suspended as precautionary measure in Anantnag, where a woman died in a fierce encounter which ensued between militants holed up in a house and security forces since this morning.
The authorities had directed all cellular companies to suspend cellular and mobile internet services in Anantnag to prevent spread of any rumour on social media. (UNI)
