Hyderabad: The much awaited day heralding a new system of indirect taxation has finally arrived with the official launching of Good and Service Tax (GST) at the Central hall of the Parliament at the stroke of midnight last night by President Pranab Mukharjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In keeping with the historic event being witnessed by entire world, Central Tax and Excise Department, Hyderabad Zone officially celebrated July one as GST Day at GST Bhavan here today.
Hyderabad Zone Chief Commissioner Sandeep M. Bhatnagar, Heritage Foods Executive Director Nara Brahmani, Apollo Goup of Hospitals Managing Director Ms Sangita Reddy and among others participated in the programme. (UNI)
