SRINAGAR:  The Honourable Judicial Magistrate JMIC Pattan has today convicted a man involved in the hit and run case.

Honourable Judicial Magistrate after hearing Prosecuting Officer Najm-u-Nissa convicted a person identified as Fareed Ahmad Khan son of Habibullah Khan a resident of Manzgam, Boniyar Baramulla. He was found involved in causing the death of a person Arshid Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan a resident of Gundbal Andergam, Pattan in rash and negligent driving. He has been sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period of two years and a fine of Rs 5000 has been also imposed against him for the commission of offence punishable under section 304-A/RPC.
