New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with Finland Prime Minister Juha Sipila in which the latter congratulated Mr Modi for the historic and successful implementation of the Goods and Service Tax.
The two leaders reviewed the progress in bilateral relations since their previous meeting in February 2016, when Prime Minister Sipila had visited India to participate in the Make in India Week in Mumbai, Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement today.
They also discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties.
Mr Modi has received praise from several international leaders over the new ‘One nation-One tax’ regime which came into force from July 1.   (UNI)
