Program aims to spread awareness about hygiene, patient care

SRINAGAR: An awareness program at auditorium of Shere-Kashmir institute of medical sciences (SKIMS) in Soura of Srinagar was today organized for the paramedical.

The program was organized by a Mumbai based company ‘GettingGa’. The program was aimed to educate the paramedical staff of the hospital about the patient care and hygiene to avoid infection to the patients.

Director SKIMS, Dr Abdul Gani Ahangar was also present on the occasion, besides at least 150 paramedicals participated in the program.  The organizers told that the program is focused to infection control in the hospital adding that the spread of infection in the community can be also curbed if the paramedical have awareness about dealing with the patients.

The paramedicals also expressed satisfaction over the awareness program. They said that such type of programs are required in the hospitals to improve hygiene and avoid spread of infection.
