KULGAM: A policeman was shot dead by suspected militants in Yaripora area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Gowhar Ahmad Tantray, a resident of Kujjar village of Kulgam. He was posted with Special Operations Group (SOG) Shopian.
He was shifted to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
