Sopore : Clashes erupted between pro-freedom youth and government forces in north kashmir’s Sopore town post Friday congregation.
Reports said that groups of youth after the Friday congregational prayers tried to take a march from Jamia Masjid area , amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, but were stopped by the government forces who were deployed in strength.
As the forces barred the youth to take out a march, stone hurling clashes ensued in the area. Forces responded with teargas shells to disperse the agitated youth.
However Overall situation remained peacefully in Sopore town
