SRINAGAR:  A 65-year-old yatri from Rajasthan died due to cardiac arrest on way to the holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, a yatra official said.
Somnath, a resident of Rajasthan, suffered a cardiac arrest at Brarimarg on shortest Baltal-cave track, he said
Somnath was immediately rushed to nearby medical camp where he was declared brought dead.
About 45 pilgrims have so far died due to health problems, terror attack and accidents in the Kashmir valley since the commencement of the 40-day-long pilgrimage from both shortest Baltal and traditional Pahalgam tracks from June 29.
The annual yatra will conclude on August 7 when Chhari Mubarak, holy silver Mace of Lord Shiva will taken inside the cave for concluding pujan on August 7. (UNI)
