Sopore: Funeral Procession of LeT millitant Abid Ahmed of Hajin village in north kahsmir’s Bandipora district were held at his native village.
Abid who got killed along his two associates in an encounter with security forces at Amargrah area of Sopore town at wee hours of Saturday.
As soon as news spread in the area people in thousands assembled at Eid grah of Hajjin where the protest rally marched towards the slain millitant’s home. Azadi and Pro-Islam slogans shouted during the rally.
Meanwhile morethan five thousand people participated in the slain millitant’s funeral procession.
However security forces have sealed all exit points in the arae after the killing of slain militant.
Meanwhile authorities have stopped mobile communication except BSNL in North Kashmir while all government run educational institutes also suspended on early saturday as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order following killing of three militants.
