New Delhi, Aug 25 : BJP chief Amit Shah and Union Minister Smriti Irani today took oath as Rajya Sabha members.
Mr Shah is making a debut in Parliament.
The oath was administered by Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu in his Chamber here.
Both the BJP members were elected to the Upper House from Gujarat where polls were held this month.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad among others accompanied the two new members to the Chairman’s chamber. (UNI)
