New Delhi, Aug 26 :  Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed the law and order situation in a meeting after conviction of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in rape case which triggered large scale violence by his supporters in many parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and some parts of Delhi and Rajasthan.
Briefing media persons after the meeting, Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi said the meeting reviewed the internal security situation in the country after the large scale violence by Dera supporters.
He said as per Haryana Director General of Police, ‘the situation is under control in the state.
Some other points related to internal security were also discussed in the meeting.
‘ Mr Mehrishi said the situation in Punjab, Rajasthan and Delhi is normal.  (UNI)
