SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04: Sh. Mohd. Iqbal Lone, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.

In the context of Governor’s several earlier discussions with Sh.Sajad Gani Lone, Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Trainings and Science & Technology, regarding the high importance which requires to be devoted to the management of the entire Disability sector in the State, Sh. Lone briefed the Governor about the various steps which had been recently taken for alleviating the lot of physically challenged persons.

Referring to the serious barriers which are continuing to be faced by persons with disabilities, Governor observed that he shall very shortly be discussing all outstanding issues with Chief Minister and Sh. Sajad Gani Lone, Minister for Social Welfare ARI & Trainings and Science & Technology.
