Srinagar, Sep 9 : Train service resumed this morning after remaining suspended yesterday for security reasons in the Kashmir valley, where separatist had called for protests after Friday prayers against ethnic cleansing of “ Rohingya Muslims” in the Rakhine state of Myanmar.
We have resumed train service on all routes in the Kashmir valley though there was some problem in the signal system, a railway official said.
He said Train service resumed on Srinagar-Badgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north this morning after remaining closed yesterday.
Trains service also resumed on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region, he said.
However, he said due to some problem in signal system, trains were delayed in the morning.
