Srinagar, Sept 11: Describing National Investigation Agency (NIA) as an autonomous organisation, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today assured that there will be no harassment of any people by the investigating agency.
Talking to mediapersons, he said the NIA is investigating terror funding in the Jammu and Kashmir.
When asked what was the need of NIA investigation when state police had already registered cases and started investigation, and opposition and coalition partner Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have also raised question, Mr Singh said the investigating agency is an autonomous organisation and government has nothing to do with its functioning.
