Ganderbal: The daily wage workers of PDD Power Development Department held a strong protest in Ganderbal on Wednesday under the chairmanship of its district President Ganderbal demanding regularization of their services.
Eyewitnesses said that scores of workers assembled in DC office Ganderbal and started protesting, demand proper policy for their regularization and stop playing hide and seek policy with them. The protesters were also demanding timely and regular payment of their wages and enhancement in rate of their daily wage.
The workers under the banner of PDD Daily Wagers Union Ganderbal led by PDD district president and assembled at the venue and started protest demonstration against Govt.
The workers  were carrying banners and placards in hands depicting their demands. After holding protest for some time at Beehama they took out a protest rally towards DC office and were shouting loud slogans against state Government and concerned Ministers.
While daily wagers protesting in Ganderbal, the Sonamarg Development Authority president Mushtaq Shutkadi on phone said that we are also standby them (PDD) and demanded that higher authorities should regularize daily wagers of Jammu and Kashmir. He warned to intensify their struggle in future if the Government remained unmoved on their issues.
