Kurnool Sep 18 : In a ghastly road accident, a woman and her two children were burnt alive and a close relative of her sustained serious burn injuries when the car in which they were travelling overturned and caught fire at Battalur village of Aallagadda mandal in this district in the wee hours of today.
Police said the deceased Vanitha Bai (28), her two sons Prem Kumar (5) and Umesh (2) were on their way to Nandyal from Proddatur in Kadapa district to attend a function.
The deceased were burnt alive as the flames engulfed the entire car within minutes. The driver of the car Raja Prasad was rescued after some time. He sustained serious burn injuries and was shifted to government hospital in Nandyal, where his condition is said to be ‘very critical’ . (UNI)
