New Delhi, Sept 20 : A Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) delegation met Home Minister Rajnath Singh here and called for tripartite talks to resolve the Gorkhaland issue.
Sources said the delegation, led by Union minister S S Ahluwalia, last night demanded a tripartite meet involving the Centre, the West Bengal government and the GJM.
The delegation, expressing concern over the ongoing stalemate in Darjeeling, sought central intervention in ending the crisis.
The region has been in turmoil for the last three months, with the GJM spearheading an indefinite strike to press their demand for a separate Gorkhaland state.(UNI)
